Born 1957.

Graduated with first class in fine arts from the Government College of Arts & Crafts, Calcutta-1981. Awarded Cultural Scolarship by Department of Culture, Government of India, 1981-82).

He has held many solo shows in Kolkata, Mumbai and Delhi, and has participated in several art camps and workshops. Having travelled through the art circuit throughout the world - France, New York, Japan, Singapore, Sweden and Germany to name a few, his works are treasured possessions of art connoisseurs around the world.

His paintings include a strong focus on the ordinary person - more specifically womankind. He likes to portray the contemporary age where people have lost the human touch and have become impersonal in their behaiour.
